These Payment and Delivery Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all purchases made with Calidad Furniture Store (“Calidad”), whether in-store, online, or through any other authorized sales channel. By placing an order with us, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms.

1.  Fees and Pricing

All prices are quoted in Kenyan Shillings (KES) and are inclusive of applicable taxes, unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice; however, confirmed orders will not be affected.
  • Promotional offers are valid only during the advertised period and while stocks last.

    2.  Payment Terms

    • Full payment is required at the time of purchase unless a written payment plan or deposit arrangement has been agreed.
    • For custom-made or made-to-order furniture, a non-refundable deposit of 75% is required at the time of order. The balance must be paid in full prior to delivery or collection.

    Accepted Payment Methods:

    Bank transfer (details provided on invoice or receipt)

    • Mobile money transfer (details provided on invoice or receipt)
    • Any other payment method agreed in writing
    • All  payments must clearly reference the invoice number, customer name and customer phone number.

    Late Payments

    Payments not received by the agreed due date may result in:

    • A late fee of 1.5% per month (or the maximum allowed by law) on the overdue amount.
    • Suspension of processing and delivery of pending orders.
    • Withholding of furniture items until payment is received in full.
    • Calidad reserves the right to recover all collection costs, including legal fees, incurred in recovering overdue payments.

      4.  Deposits and Prepayments

      • For custom-made furniture, a non-refundable deposit (typically 40% to 75%) is required to confirm the order.
      • Excess or overpaid amounts will be refunded within 90 days, upon a written request by the customer.

      5.  Delivery and Collection

      • Delivery timelines are provided at the time of purchase but may vary depending on product availability, customization, or unforeseen delays.
      • Delivery fees may apply and will be communicated before order confirmation.
      • Calidad is not liable for delivery delays caused by factors beyond our control (e.g., transport strikes, weather conditions, supplier shortages).
      • Customers opting for self-collection must arrange pickup within the agreed timeframe; otherwise, storage fees may apply.

      6.  Cancellations and Refunds Customer-Initiated Cancellations

      • All cancellations must be submitted in writing.
      • Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled delivery or collection date may be subject to full charges.

      Refunds

      • Refunds are issued at Calidad’s discretion and may be subject to administrative fees.
      • Deposits for custom-made furniture are strictly non-refundable, unless otherwise stated in writing.

      Calidad-Initiated Cancellations

      • If Calidad cancels an order due to stock unavailability or other unavoidable reasons, customers are entitled to a full refund or may reschedule delivery at no extra cost.

      7.  Warranty and Liability

      Calidad is not liable for:Calidad provides a 12-month limited warranty on manufacturing defects for standard furniture items, unless otherwise specified.

      • For custom-made furniture, warranty coverage may vary and will be stated at the time of purchase.The warranty does not cover
      • Normal wear and tea
      • Damage resulting from misuse, improper handling, or lack of car
      • Modifications or repairs made by unauthorized person
      • Damage caused during self-transport or self-assembly by the customer

      Any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses (e.g., loss of business, income, or use).

      • Damages arising from delays in delivery caused by circumstances beyond our control.

      • Customers must inspect all items upon delivery or collection. Any visible defects or damages must be reported within 48 hours. Claims made after this period may not be honored

      8.  Returns and Exchanges

      Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery/collection for standard, non-customized items, provided that

      • The item is unused, undamaged, and in its original packaging.
      • A valid receipt or proof of purchase is presented

      Non-returnable items:

      Custom-made or made-to-order furniture

      • Items sold on clearance or marked as “final sale”
      • Customers are responsible for return shipping or transportation costs, unless the return is due to Calidad’s error (e.g., wrong item delivered, manufacturing defect).
      • Approved returns may be exchanged for another item of equal value, or refunded subject to an administrative restocking fee of up to 20% of the item price.

      9.  Disputed Charges

      • Any disputes regarding invoices must be raised within 7 days of the invoice date.
      • Disputes do not suspend the Customer’s responsibility to pay undisputed amounts.

      10.  Currency and Exchange

      • If payment is made in a foreign currency, all exchange rate fluctuations and bank transaction charges are the responsibility of the Customer.
      • The invoiced amount must be received in full, net of any deductions or transfer fees.

      11.  Amendments

      Calidad reserves the right to amend or update these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be shared with the Customer and deemed accepted unless formally disputed in writing.
